Sound track to my day

Balloons on my way to work this morning

A very non garden related post I know but I cannot get this song out of my head today.

I've been very enamoured of Au Revoir Simone for some time now but this is one of my favourite songs of theirs.  And strangely I found that whilst I was singing it, the stranger behind me on the street with earbuds in his ears was also humming the same tune!

The video clip made by a fan is terrible but the song is beautiful.  So play it but don't look at it, just have a listen!

The Lucky One - Au Revoir Simone

Maybe if I play it to the seedlings on my windowsill enough they'll grow faster!

Fantastic book I'm reading at the moment...

This is another inspiring read - I was so excited to get this in the mail this week!  I love Holly and this book is just beautiful.  Giving me lots of ideas for 'when we renovate'.  I say those words a lot.

I've noticed when it gets cold, the hens stay really close together for warmth

The avocado recovered and is looking all glossy again! Can't say the same for the
 hen pecked hydrangeas though  :)

  1. Very cool post. I love the confluence of art and gardening. There really isn't that much difference anyway. The music is beautiful and a wonderful way to start my day, thank you. I love the pic of your hens staying close for warmth.

Have a great day. Keep up the great writing.

  5. Stack up the reading material for the long cooler evenings by the fire! The hens do seem to be sociable birds, preferring to stay close together even when around the garden
